Present Tense: The present tense is a grammatical tense whose principal function is to locate a situation or event in the present time. The present tense is used for actions which are happening now

Tenses demonstrate the timing of an action in a sentence typically performed by or centered around the subject of the sentence. Actions are called verbs. Verbs change based on tenses and other issues. Since verbs are the most important parts of English sentences, tenses are also of primary importance in English grammar.
